Under the project,Blue Veins is working to promote sustainable tobacco
control and a smoke-free environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through
sensitization and engagement of relevant multi-stakeholder for policy
reforms, facilitating the Provincial Tobacco Control Cell, and
strengthening Govt-CSOs networking around improved enforcement of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tobacco Control Roadmap 2021 sand onwards.
Objectives of the project are:

Objective 1:
Integration of Tobacco Control Roadmap in provincial
health and education programs and allocation of dedicated human and
financial resources to promote sustainable tobacco control policy
measures.

Objective 2:
Building evidence on Smokeless Tobacco (SLT) and emerging
threats i.e. NOVEL tobacco products (NTP) for comprehensive policy
response and improved measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Objective 3:
To strengthen the enforcement of tobacco control measures
to achieve 85% compliance and declare Peshawar “Tobacco/Smoke-free”
district by end of 2022.
